The latest important changes

  1. New database table LASTEN with the Snow and Wind Load Zones.
  2. Updated all data base tables with datestamp of January 1st. 2008.
  3. Added new database table with the Nature Area Classification and Landscapes.
  4. Added more than 42.000 town quarters to the tables ORTTLREF and ORTTLGEM.
  5. Added Ground Level Elevations from the digital elevation model "Shuttle Radar Topography Mission" (SRTM).

Brief description

The database tables contain geodata of the Federal Republic of Germany with geo referenced towns, municipalities, town quarters and other administrative units, postal codes, telephone preselections and nature areas, landscapes and climatic zones. The data contain coordinates for navigation and geo-coding, proximity searches and distance computations and are prepered for the spatial mapping of environmental information. The information is available in different database tables, witch can be linked together by included keys.

Quite often it is necessary to reference an address field e.g. like town or municipality name, postal code or telephone preselection, to corresponding geographical data and coordinates - a Geo Reference. The geo reference can be used for example to direct a customer to the closest store locations of a retail store chain by doing a proximity search. Another possibility it to determine distances between the different objects of the database tables with the included geo references. With the elevation data from a Digital Elevation Model the ground level height of each place can be determined. Often the knowledge is necessary about affiliations and relationships between data derived from different hierarchies. So it can be determined to which federal state, governmental area or governmental county a town, a postal code or a telephone preselection is associated.

It is possible to assign a variety of natural and scenic information to each town or municipality. The snow and wind load zones are available as local climatic data. In conjunction with the ground level heights they can be used to calculate static loads for the planning of building constuctions.

 The administrative data bases of the Federal Republic of Germany "GeoData German Admin" were updated on the data conditions of January 1st, 2008! The databases contain towns and municipalities, town quarters, postal zip codes, telephone preselections and other administrative data, which can be linked together.

 The product "GeoData German Admin" has been enhanced with a new table AdNATRAUM containing the "Nature Area Classification". In the locality tables we have added keys for the appropriate nature units. This will allow associating nature area information to all localities.

KilletSoft Logo GeoDLL supports 3D coordinate- transformations
 
 After our Dynamic Link Library has become super fast by recoding to C++, GeoDLL now is able to calculate 3D coordinate transformations considering the ellipsoidical heights. As well calculations with cartesian coordinates are possible now.
